Faith In Action - This Sunday!
Serving our community by being the church ...
SERVE in the MORNING starting at 9:30 a.m. Join us for a CELEBRATION SERVICE at 6 p.m.
We're not a church that wants to just "do church." We want to "be the church" by caring for our community and the people around us.
This Sunday, May 23rd we wont gather for our regular Sunday morning service, but we will meet and head out together into our community to serve others, putting our faith into action.
Plan to meet at the church at 9:30 a.m. so we can head out to our projects serving by 10 a.m.
Items we're collecting ... We're asking each person to bring in one or more items. We're collecting specific items for The Haven for the women there, and for Open Arms Food Bank.
- Food Bank - Boxed meals, baking mixes, spices & baking supplies, crackers
- The Haven - Toothbrushes & toothpaste, facial products, hair care products, deodorant, body wash and lotion, as well as flowers and mulch for their garden.
Projects we'll be doing ...
- Shiloh House - Join a team that will be doing yard work and sprucing up the outside of a home for struggling boys in our neighborhood.
- Love Inc. - Helping a woman with MS with yard and house work, painting a bedroom. More help needed!
- The Haven - This is a home for at risk moms and their babies in our community. We'll be gardening and having a picnic with the moms and their babies. Donations needed see above for details.
- Helping a Littleton Family - Join a team that will be doing yard and house work for a family whose mom was severely injured and needs help.
- Moving a Local Woman - Move storage for a woman that has had an extremely tough year. Need 5-6 more people!
- Columbine High School - Painting and grounds maintenance - Need a couple more people.
- Open Arms Food Bank - We are collecting non-perishable food and toiletries for Open Arms Food Bank, which feeds thousands of families in our community every month. We'd love to see every person attending Faith in Action bring items to donate to the food bank.
